Give your holidays a little spice. Gay Ott is phenomenal as an entertainer and as a musician. She brings those little touches of direct audience involvement that make beautiful memories. She also has an encyclopedic knowledge of the great songs from the American Songbook and beyond. Come hear her this holiday season.

Ott is currently director of choral activities in the Ellensburg public schools where she teaches grades 9-12. She received a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music degree from Central Washington University. She has served on the faculties of Big Bend Community College and Central Washington University. She has performed and has recorded as the jazz pianist and vocalist with the Many Sounds of Nine, an ensemble that was active for over thirty years. Additionally, she has performed as an oboist and English hornist with the Yakima Symphony. Her major teachers include Peter Gries, piano; Larry Gookin, conducting; Judith Litt and Ray Wheeler, oboe; Lynn Dupin, voice; and Jeff Lorber, jazz piano. She is married to Hal Ott, flutist par excellence, who will also be performing this winter on January 8.
